Have you ever said, or heard someone else say, “That really resonates with me!” or, “That resonates with my soul/heart…?” Have you ever stopped and thought about what that actually means?

res·o·nate – v. 1. to echo, or cause something to echo 2. to have an affect or impact beyond that which is immediately apparent 3. to produce a response in somebody, especially by reminding that person of something or prompting feelings of support or approval 4. to correspond closely or harmoniously out·reach – v. 1. to reach or extend farther than somebody or something else 2. to exceed or go beyond a limit out·reach – n. 1. the provision of information or services to groups in society who might otherwise be neglected

When one thing is resonating with another thing, it means it is acting in the same way as the other. If the first object is vibrating at a specific frequency, the second object must match that same frequency in order to resonate with it. Often things or people in close proximity will begin to sync up over periods of time, like a group of women living together will start having their menstruation cycle at the same time each month.

In the same way, whatever it is we are wanting in our lives, we eventually match up to and find. If we are looking for trouble, we find it. If we are looking for answers, we find them. This is because our very thoughts have much more power that most of us even realize! Every thought that we think is an electrical impulse with its own vibration, and since vibrations and frequencies eventually sync up, whatever is foremost in our mind and emotions is what we experience. This goes for our worries and fears as well as our hopes and dreams.

Our feelings and emotions are our built-in indicators as to whether what we are doing or hearing is good or bad for us, or rather, if it is in our best interest or our not-so-best interest. We alone are the deciders of which course we wish to take with our lives. If we desire to be Light and helpful to All, then all we see and hear will be measured against that goal, to see if it resonates. If we desire to be Dark¾ and that is a very valid, free-willed option¾ then all will be held up to that light, and our course will be led in that direction. When something is in alignment with the intentions we set for our lives, we feel the excitement and thrill of that resonation in every fiber of our being!

The purpose of “Resonate! Innerconnective Outreach” is to guide you to your own self-empowerment and growth, to provide thought-provoking teaching and information, and to gather All the Universe together in the Oneness and Unity we are. We will always point you to YOU.

A simple look in the dictionary reveals that the words “resonate” and “outreach” are just as multidimensional as we ourselves are!
The first of four definitions for “resonate” is: “to echo, or cause something to echo.” An echo is a reflection of an original source bouncing back TO the original source. Here we gain our first glimpse of Oneness as we begin to realize that everything is made of… everything! The microcosm mirrors the macrocosm. The atoms and molecules orbit as and mirror entire solar systems and galaxies! We see ourselves in all things.

And so, since we are mirroring each other, and interconnected to each other, the second definition naturally follows: “to have an affect or impact beyond that which is immediately apparent.” Whether the effects are realized right off or not, all we do affects all others, as well as all things. We have a responsibility to be accountable for ALL we do, say, and even think. Everything we do contributes to the Universe that everything else also receives THEIR energy and Life from. Do we really want to feed negativity, hatred and fear into the system? As we learn to live and operate from a conscious level, we will create a much better world together.

This leads us directly into definition three: “to produce a response in somebody, especially by reminding that person of something or prompting feelings of support or approval.” Our greatest message to others is our living example. We can teach or instruct all day long, but if our lives do not match up to what we are saying, all our words fall empty to the ground. We are here to uplift and encourage each other, showing that we are NOT alone in this world¾ there ARE others like ourselves, which is the fourth and final definition: “to correspond closely or harmoniously.” We are a Universal community rapidly returning to Oneness!

The term “outreach” was chosen for Resonate rather than “program” or “service” because it further illustrate the multi-layered Universe in which we live, and the purpose for Resonate, while still meaning the same. As a verb, “outreach” means “to reach or extend farther than somebody or something else” and “to exceed or go beyond a limit.” In order to grow and expand in our consciousness and evolution, we must push (or BE pushed) out of our comfort zones and little boxes of old outdated thinking and thought patterns. We must remove ALL limitations placed on us by ourselves, or by others. We are magnificent, intricate beings with many capabilities and features we ignore or simply do not even know about! It is time to reclaim our Divinity and birthright.
When “outreach” is used as a noun, it is “the provision of information or services to groups in society who might otherwise be neglected.” The internet is rightly called the “information superhighway,” and the perfect medium for all who feel as if they do not belong anywhere and who see and understand things differently than “normal” society to connect, support and encourage each other.

Through articles, artwork, music and more, together with message board forums to further communicate, assist and discuss all things with each other, Resonate aims to create a Gathering for all to participate and contribute in every area, TO all, and reveal the INNERconnectedness of us all.

I am Lloyd Matthew Thompson, and I am learning alongside you. While I may have been instrument in creating Resonate, it is not mine. Resonate belongs to all of you. I am not the only teacher¾ we are ALL the teacher. Nobody is any higher or any lower than anyone else. Every single person has something to learn from every single person. We ARE mirrors, after all!

And we must keep in mind there are no absolutes, nothing in this ever-changing, impermanent world is set in stone. Everything on this website must be held up to your own resonating Light. Even the Buddha said, “Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who has said it¾ not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reasoning, and agrees with your own common sense.” Everyone is on their own path, and at their own PLACE on that path. Your own feelings and emotions alone can tell if something is for you or not.

Together, let’s build a bridge to the peace, understanding and Love that we know All is made of!
